Good Morning Everyone:
It’s gonna be a ’scorcher’ here in New England today and throughout most of the weekend…it IS summer and you don’t have to ’shovel’ it though so we can handle it!
Here comes Cat – WOW – another great outfit. Looks like a metallic, teal dress with killer heels. Love the hair tonight too.
This week Mary and Nigel (who looks like he’s had a little ‘botox’ touch up!) are joined once again by Adam Shankman, the director and choreographer of HAIRSPRAY. Love Adam – he really gets into the dancers…. By the way, HAIRSPRAY had the biggest opening of any musical movie of all time…pretty impressive. Ohhh, and Mary, you GO GIRL with those diamonds!!!
OK, the 4 couples will be dancing 2 dances tonight BUT you will be voting for your favorite girl and boy. This doesn’t mean they are the same couple either….
First up is Danny and Sara – Argentine Tango
This is choreographed by Alex DaSilva(?) and the song is Whatever Lola Wants from the broadway show, Damn Yankees which starred Gwen Verdon and was choreographed and directed by her husband, Bob Fosse. They did a great job. LOVED Danny. Sara was good but she didn’t take my breath away like Danny did. Adam freaked out over Danny and thought Sara was great too. In fact, all 3 judges loved them.
Next up is Dominic and Lauren – Crumping
This was choreographed by Lil C and it was a 50 Cent #, I Get It
The judges thought it was a very difficult # to perform to because of the song. LOVE Dominic but I don’t know if he will be moving on. Can’t warm up to Lauren. (I thought Dom was a riot when he was putting his arms around Cat..boy he digs her!)
Commercial: Trailer for SUPERBAD – this looks very funny. Out in theaters in the next week or so.
Dunkin Donuts: Did you know that some franchises are now offering pizza and flatbed sandwiches? I guess if it flies, they’ll expand to other stores…
There’s my little ‘Verizon’ sweetie – LOVE THOSE EYES!
Another cute tease for BACK TO YOU – this has HIT stamped all over it.
OK…back to the show.
Next up is Neil and Lacey – Latin
Choreographed by Maria Torres – Crunch Move song – Acid
Sooo, we’re supposed to be distracted cause Neil has no shirt! I’d rather see the dance moves myself! It was different. They did a good job. Not insanely crazy about it though. Judges felt the same.
Commercial: Trailer for STARDUST – BIG Cast. Hopefully it will work!
Soundbite from KVILLE – Sometimes it looks good; sometimes not. Tonight it made you want to say, “Bring It On” – Good scenes.
OK, back to the show.
Next we had Pasha and Sabra – Broadway
Choreographed by Tyce Diorio – A Wild, Wild Party – This duo is very talented and really connected with each other. Everyone LOVES Sabra and I can understand that. Pasha was also very good. Mary gave them a ‘hot tamale’ scream!!!!
Now it’s time for the 2nd Dance:
First up is Danny and Sara – Hip Hop
Choreographed by Shane – Don’t know the song. The outfits were something out of the Sesame Street set but we were told that the dancers have no control over what they wear. That said…Once again, I thought Danny was great. Sara just OK. Judges not so excited. This may have been the number that they couldn’t connect to???? I dunno.
Commercial: Let’s jump to Larry King and see who he has on. Ohhh, this isn’t good. Looks like a bridge collapsed at 6:09 (during rush hour) in Minneapolis. Someone in an apartment overlooking the bridge took pics, video of this tragedy. As of last night 3 were dead. This morning it’s 9 with 20 more unaccounted for. Very tragic.
OK, let’s go back to Dance.
Next we had: Dominic and Lauren – Rhumba
Choreographed by Tony Meredith – Song – Ain’t No Sunshine When She’s Gone – Good connection this time. Dom played it serious even though he wasn’t crazy about the ‘heels’. They had a fun time which meant WE had a fun time too! Hope he moves forward…don’t know about Lauren.
Then we had Neil and Lacey – Contemporary
Mia Michaels choreographed this number – Time – Bill Porter
Mia lost her dad recently and wanted to do a number that connected the two. – It was absolutely beautifu. Neil and Lacey felt every step of it. It was very, very emotional…had us all in tears. Mary must have had a similar event in her life because the poor thing couldn’t even talk. Nigel said it was probably the best choreographed and danced number he’s ever seen – pretty big compliment!!!
And last we had Pasha and Sabra – Quick Step
Choreographed by Tony Meredith – Big Bad Voodoo Band
Excellent job. Terrific quick steps. Sabra is magnificent and Pasha was just wonderful. Judges loved it too. – They tore all over the stage!
So there you have it for tonight. It is going to be SOOOO difficult to choose a guy and gal to go home tomorrow night. I can’t imagine how the voters/fans are going to do it.
I’m guessing it will be Dominic and Lauren BUT, that being said, I still love them ALLLL!!!
Tomorrow, I have off so I won’t be able to do my Results Show until Monday even though you will all know by then anyway.
Have a great weekend everyone. Take care. Say a prayer for the families in Minneapolis.
Joanie

Just read that Priscilla Presley, 52 was caught outside a restaurant/lounge in LA, ’smooching up’ Nigel Lythgoe, 61 of So You Think You Can Dance. First of all, I thought he was married. Has BOTOX gone to her brain????
Nic Cage can’t be doing too bad financially. The “Ghost Rider” just laid out $10M for a castle property in Bath, England (TMZ.com)… for a look see.
