DWTS – Results Show – 09/24/08

September 25, 2008
Hi Everyone:
Hopefully next week we will get back to the usual 2 night shows.  This 3 night ‘premiere’ killed me!  A lot of the returning shows and series premieres were on and you can tape and watch so much!
OK, tonight we will eliminate another couple.  Next week is the paso doble and another dance that the remaining 11 couples will have to learn.  We will have performances from The Jonas Brothers and Jesse McCartney.
We’ll start off the show with a dance from the ‘pros’.  I have a feeling that Maks choreographed this number since he was like the ’star’.  It was a lot of fun.  The song was UNDER PRESSURE.  These guys and gals are VERY talented.  Lacey is fitting right in with the group.  AND, anytime we can see Maks ’shirtless’, I’ll take it!!!
OK, I’ve calmed down….Tom is going to give us a RECAP of last night’s dances (and, by the way, is it just me or did the Emmy’s goof the other night by giving the Best Reality Host Emmy to Jeff Probst…puhleez!  Tom should have won hands down…).
Sooo, who will go home tonight?  As Tom said, the Scary Red Lights of Doom are back!
Let’s save two couples right off the bat.
1.  Brooke Derek  (a no brainer!)
2.  Kim and Mark (a REAL surprise)
Last night Jeffrey Ross and Edyta were eliminated and therefore did not dance the Quickstep…let’s have them come out and do it for us now (WHY?)..No Comment….
Let’s save another couple.
3.  Cloris and Corky!!! (I knew she wouldn’t go home just yet)
Now Jesse McCartney is singing, the girls are going bonkers and a couple are dancing…it’s Ashley from a previous season.
Now, to eat up more time, let’s have Adam Corolla go ‘out on the street’ and ask people’s opinions on the dancers.  I LOVED the one who said, don’t watch the show and don’t even know who YOU are!!!  Funny.
Let’s save another couple:
4.  Mo and Cheryl
The Jonas Brothers are now singing…the girls are SCREAMING and one of them is ‘trying’ to dance with the pros.  Sad.  It’s Derek, Mark, Lacey and ?
The JIVE dance style has been chosen to be the dance in the ‘new bit’ they’re doing.
Let’s save 2 more couples:
5.  Misty and MAKS (oh boy…more skin!)
6.  Warren and Kym (good choice!)
Let’s do a couple more:
7.  Susan and Tony
8.  Rocco and Karina
Now we have 4 more couples left and it’s 8:55 so why don’t we take them out o their misery….RED LIGHTS, SCARY MUSIC…and here we go:
9.  Cody and Julianne – Saved
10. Toni and Alec – Saved
So now it’s down to Ted McGinley and Lance Bass….who will it be?  Who will be going home tonight.?????  I don’t really think there’s any doubt that of these two, it should be Ted (in lieu of Kim K. staying)..and it is TED going home and Lance and Lacey staying.
That’s it for the first week of DWTS.  Why do I feel I’ve been thru a Marathon????
Talk to you next week.  Everyone have a nice weekend..stay dry!

DWTS – Season 7 – Nite 2 – 09/23/08

September 24, 2008
Morning Everyone:
We certainly had no surprise last night when we found who was going to cha cha out of the building but, before we get to that, we have 13 couples who are standing on platforms on the stage, wondering which one of them will be going home!  This was not easy, by the way.  Because it was a two hour show, some of these couples had to stand for the better part of it (4 anyway!!!).
The first couple lucky enough to move thru and step off the stage are:
1.  Lance and Lacey who will dance a Quickstep.  They did very well last night with the Cha Cha so let’s see how they can perform and make us ‘oohh and aahh’ like we did last night.  OK…good moves, nice and fast.  I like it.  I wanted it to last a bit longer.  (loved how Lacey taught Lance some of the steps like he was a 5 year old…smart cause he was able to pick up on them a lot faster).
Len:  You moved well.  Watch your posture and hold because they were not good.
Bruno:  You 2 are good.  You know how to sell it.
Carrie Ann:  You entertained us but you didn’t really do the Quickstep.
Judges:  7-6-8 = 21
Next couple to step off the platform are:
2.  Maks (hottie) and Misty Mae – They will be dancing a Mambo.  I just LOVE to watch Maks try and teach these steps.  He gets sooo frustrated BUT they listen and learn.  Misty Mae is no exception.  Besides having a ‘hot’ outfit on, she certainly did those moves and shook her hips.  It was sexy…natch cause Maks is back!
Carrie Ann:  I love the way you attack these dances.  Much better than last night.  Legs were good.
Len:  The World Of Sports always gives us entertaining people.  Better than last night; just watch your arms although they were better.
Bruno:  Attack like a task force!  You do have a shoulder problem though.  But it wasn’t bad.
Judges:  7-7-7 = 21
OK, who’s next to step off that platform…..
3.  Mo and Cheryl who will dance a Mambo.  Cheryl’s got her work cut out for her with Mo.  He’s all over the place during rehearsal.  But, with her great teaching (even though she’s NOT one of my favorite ‘pros’) he did a very good routine.  Not terrific but I see them going on to next week.
Bruno:  Dynamic, exuberant, a little like a party animal
Carrie Ann: Transitions are smooth.  Music pumps thru your body.
Len:  Learning 2 dances is hard.  Why the ‘Free Willy’ stuff?  Do a traditional Mambo please.
Judges:  7-7-7 = 21
Commercial for David Blaine:  This guy is soft as a grape (just my opinion…)
Three Down and Nine to go….who’s next?
4.  Derek (hottie) and Brooke (hottie for the guys!) who will be dancing a Quickstep.  Now I gotta tell ya…Derek was a riot teaching Brooke this dance.  He kept saying, “Your boobies can NOT touch my chest.”  Of course, it must have killed him to say that!  WOW!  They came right out of the gate at full speed.  Great outfits, they look so professional.  (ABC is sooo lucky to have Julianne and Derek on the show.  They are tops!)
Len:  Last night I said you were the best couple so far…Guess what, I’m saying it again tonight.
Bruno:  Same thing…pure Hollywood routine.
Carrie Ann:  Grace, strength, beauty, class…..
Judges:  9-8-9 = 26  (great score!!!)
The next couple to move forward are:
CLORIS and Corky Ballas who will ‘dance’ a Mambo  OMG, was she funny.  Corky was getting a bit frustrated and then said that he would treat her like she was his mom and it worked.  Of course the dance left a LOT to be desired but she’s so entertaining…you CAN’T let her go home just yet.  I’ll say this, for 82, she certainly gets up and down from the floor very well!
Carrie Ann:  You are the Golden Girl all shimmy (she was wearing a gold outfit), and grabbie!  You definitely entertained us.
Len:  Look at your coconuts!  Corky:  you are to be commended on working with her.  You’ve done a good job and been very patient.
Bruno:  I’ve never seen a Mambo quite like that before and I hope I never do again!
Judges:  6-5-5 = 16   (to which Cloris ranted again!)
The next couple to step off the platorm are:
6.  Toni and Alec who will dance a Quickstep.  (are Alec and Edyta married????  Just wondering).  Anyway, Toni gave us a little scare last night with her breathing so Alec taught her a few ways to help her to pace her air intake and it seemed to work.  Toni’s a very pretty lady and is trying very hard.  It was a smooth dance.  Very pretty outfit.
A little bit of a struggle here and there.
Bruno: All quality like a bottle of good champagne!
Carrie Ann:  You did very well. The chemistry is good.
Len:  Lightness of foot.  Nice routine.
Whoops!  I missed their marks but I bet they were good and she’ll be back next week.
OK (just watching the Sox and got carried away!), the next couple to move forward are:
7.  Warren Zapp and Kym who will dance a Quickstep.  Now this is going to be mighty tough for the big guy but he did surprise us last night with those light feet of his.  Let’s see how he’ll do tonight.
Oh boy…he’s done it again.  Working real hard.  Good Job!
Len:  This is a tough dance for you.  There was no technique there.
Bruno:  You are a ton of fun – excellent. – Incredible
Carrie Ann:  I’m amazed.  You didn’t miss a step.  Liked it.
Judges:  7-7-8 = 22
Alright, 7 down and 6 more to go:  Who’s next?
8.  Ted and Inna who will dance a Mambo.  Ted didn’t thrill me last night so let’s see if he can ‘bring it’ tonight.  Inna tried her best to get those hips moving.  Actually, he’s not all that bad.  He’s following her moves pretty well.  It’s OK.
Carrie Ann:  Lots of moves – bit of awkwardness. Ya gotta lighten up.
Len:  With hard wark, anything is possible.
Bruno:  Grabbed your Membo and squeezed every bit out of it.  What you have to do is listen to the music.
Judges:  6-6-7 = 19
Come On Down…..
9.  Cody and Julianne who will dance a Quickstep.  Now Cody has got to put away this fixation on Julianne and concentrate on the dance steps.  She’s trying to make a man out of him and it’s funny the way he keeps trying to ‘lower’ his voice!  They do very well in this dance (natch cause of Julianne!)  She’s got a beautiful red outfit on (uh oh Cody..pay attention!)  This was a very good dance.  Many tight steps.
Bruno:  King and Queen of the Prom!  Your parents must be so proud of you both.  You have charm, energy.
Carrie Ann:  This is a hard dance and you DID IT!
Len:  Ditto….
Judges:  8-7-8 = 23
(Do you notice how the Judges are not going crazy with the nines and tens like they did in Season 6 with almost EVERY dance that Kristi did?)
We’re up to the tenth couple now…they must be getting really tired of standing there.  They should get extra points for hanging in there this long!  Next couple going thru are:
10.  Rocco and Karina (with the taped up ankle…not that it slows her down!) who will be dancing a Mambo.  Rocco’s trying very hard to learn these dances but he doesn’t have much rhythm.  LOVE the yellow outfit on Karina.  She’s doing a lot of ‘dancing around’ him like she usually does when her partner lacks ‘talent’!
Len:  Gotta be better than last night and it was
Bruno:  What a turnaround!  Good job.
Carrie Ann:  Super Sexy!
Judges:  7-7-7 = 21
Only two more to dance and one to go home….
Next to step down from the platform are:
11.  Susan and Tony (sweet Tony whose wife just had TWINS!) who will be dancing the Quickstep.  Now we all suffered with poor Erica Kane last night and we’re hoping to see a much improved dancer tonight and, guess what…we do.  Tony did a great job teaching her this very difficult dance.  Good for you Susan!  (reminds me of Kelly Monaco from Season One who started out really bad and wound up winning that Disco Ball!)
Carrie Ann:  There she is!  Excellent.
Len:  Feeling’ smug.  Much better.  Careful of those feet though.
Bruno:  Class, elegance.  You’re in your element with the ballroom dances.
Judges:  7-7-8 = 22
TWO MORE TO GO:
We now have left Jeffrey (eye patch) Ross with partner, Edyta and Kim Kardashian with Mark Ballas…one goes home…one dances.
The couple going home after just one dance are:  Edyta and Jeffrey.
Not surprise there.  Edyta danced with Jason Taylor last season.  What a difference!
Soooo that means the last couple to dance tonight are:
12.  Kim and Mark who will dance a Mambo.  Now you’d think that Kim would have a ball with this dance and shake that ‘booty’ of hers all over the dance floor but it just didn’t happen.  She doesn’t have much of a personality – probably because she says that, basically, she’s a very shy person.  It certainly showed.  She was very awkward.  I felt bad for Mark (she’s no Serena Bryan…from the Cheetah Girls!)
You can tell that Mark and Derek had the same dance couches cause he has a lot of the same moves.
Bruno:  It’s a sin that you don’t use what you’ve got.  You have the assets!
Len:  No sizzle; no hotness.
Carrie Ann:  No performance experience…it shows.  Hopefully you’ll keep going.
Judges:  6-6-6 = 18
So there you have Night 2 of the 3 Night premiere of DWTS.
Wednesday at 8 we will see another couple going home.  (my money is on Kim…).  The Jonas Brothers along with Jesse McCartney, will perform.  And Adam Carolla will be around for a few laughs.
See you tomorrow.  Joanie

DWTS – New Season – 09/22/08

September 23, 2008
Morning Everyone:
Well…..we’re back!!!  It just seems like we had Kristi winning the last Disco Ball!  Now, here we are, back again with 13 couples this season.  Tonight they will all dance once.  Tomorrow night, one couple will be eliminated, and then the rest will dance again and then on Wednesday night, we will get the results and another couple will cha cha out of the building.
It certainly is quite a mix this year.  We’ve got ‘celebrities’ boy band member, soap star, sports and Olympic athletes and a ‘comic’.  Who will rise to the top and grab that ugly Disco Ball this season????
Let’s get started.  (I won’t go into Samantha’s outfit, etc. cause I REALLY feel she adds nothing to this show (and Tom Bergeron feels the same way) Her little interviews/commentaries are atrocious).
First up is:
1.  Cody Linley (Disney star…18 years old…the youngest competitor so far) who will dance with Julianne Hough.  And..I must say that I feel sorry for poor Cody cause he’s not gonna last more than a couple of weeks if he doesn’t get his hormones in check!  Can’t blame him though.  That outfit she has on(?) is soooo hot!  They will dance a Cha Cha…which Cody has never heard of.  This should be interesting.
Actually, they weren’t too bad.  Julianne is terrific as usual.  Cody has got to pay attention more and he’ll be fine.
Len:  You have a feel of confidence about you.  Be careful with your steps though…and pay attention!
Bruno:  Slash of Youth!  You gotta focus on the feet…not her!
Carrie Ann:  Incredible potential.  I wanna see you back tomorrow.
Judges:  6-6-6 = 18
2.  Rocco (chef) and Karina – They will dance a Foxtrot.  It’s a smooth version and very well done.  Rocco’s still a little awkward but he’ll get the hang of it.  Whoops…spoke too soon.  I see this on the verge of chaos.  Not good.
Carrie Ann:  Cute Rocco…you connect.
Len:  You dance like a cook like I cook like I dance..both not good.
Bruno:  Good attempt – bring it tomorrow night.
Judges:  5-4-5 = 14  (Tom says..”I didn’t know they had a 4!)
3.  Toni Braxton (the beautiful soul singer) will dance with Alec Mazo and they will do a Cha Cha.  Now we have to be a little careful here because Toni has a heart disease but is pushing herself anyway.  She wants to prove that she can do this.  (her hubby and mom are in the audience holding their breath.  No pun intended).  The song is Santana’s Cool and it is a great song to dance the Cha Cha.  Toni has the moves, legs, body, etc.  She is trying hard and Alec is gonna be a big help to her…and he is soooo sexy!
Carrie Ann:  Loved it!
Len:  Good mix of moments
Bruno:  Slinky, sultry, sexy.  Week 1 and already you seem to have it all.
Judges:  7-7-8 = 22
4.  Next we have Maurice Green (Olympic sprinter) who will be dancing with Cheryl Burke.  (rumor has it they are MORE than just BFFs already) – OK, they will dance the Foxtrot.  They do a Jazzy take on it.  Mo’s having a blast.  Great personality.  Lots of fun.  He’ll learn.
Len:  Wild, wacky, wonderful
Bruno:  Great presence but when you go ‘on hold’ you lose it
Carrie Ann:  Mo..ya got the James Brown down pat; Foxtrot not so much..a little stiff but OK.
Judges:  6-6-6 = 18
5.  Now we have ‘celebrity’ Brooke Burke dancing with Derek Hough (is that Shannon Elizabeth in the audience…betcha!).  Brooke has 4 children and a body that won’t quit.  She also has flexible legs that Derek loves cause he says there is so many steps we can do with them.  They will do a Cha Cha.  Have to admit she’s a little unsteady yet limber.  Derek is great as usual.
Carrie Ann:  4 babies and an amazing body!  Great job.
Bruno:  Brooke, you did great.  Love the way you move your legs.
Len:  Best so far!
Judges:  7-8-8 = 23
6.  Here comes Ted McGinley who’s had more TV series than almost anyone else in the business!  He will be dancing with a new ‘pro’, Inna.  They will be dancing a Foxtrot.  Oh boy…here’s our first contender to go to the couch (along with Jeffrey Ross).  Poor Inna has her work cut out for her and it’s her first season!
Bruno:  You started out like Cary Grant and went to Steve Carrell.  Go back to Cary.
Len:  Style, elogence. footwork wasn’t bad.
Carrie Ann:  Get over your fear Ted and you’ll be fine.  Great potential.
Judges:  6-6-6 = 18  (our first disagreement of the season..)
7.  Here comes Lance Bass (of NSYNC..Joey Fatone’s pal who came in 2nd when he competed a few seasons ago) who will dance with another newcomer this year:  Lacey Schwimmer of So You Think You Can Dance (luv her).  They will be dancing a Cha Cha as soon as they can get over gushing how much they like each other..which is funny considering we ALL know that Lance is gay.  Anyway, they must have worked really hard cause I LOVED IT!!!  Thought it was EXCELLENT.  Lacey’s gonna do just fine on this show.  More of Lance please…
Len:  You did it well but I like the old and traditional Cha Cha.
Carrie Ann:  Hot Hot Hot
Bruno:  Edgy, spunky, sooo a Cha Cha for now.
Judges:  8-6-8 = 22
8.  Alright folks…here she comes…the one we’ve all been waiting for.
CLORIS LEACHMAN who will be dancing with Rocky Ballas (Mark’s dad.  Mark won the trophy last season with Kristi).  They will be dancing a slowwwww Foxtrot.  Ya know, it wasn’t bad.  For 82, she’s moving around that dance floor pretty well.  I’m impressed.
Bruno:  Love your….and, with that, Cloris THROWS her leg up in front of Bruno’s desk and brings down the house.  OMG, is this lady hysterical or what?  Bruno stands up and kisses the leg.  Too much.
Len:  Now she moves on to Len and before he can say anything, she’s leaning over.  Poor Len starts screaming TOO MUCH CLEAVAGE.  Then, when he calms down, he says, “You know, I’ve never been anyone’s Boy Toy before!!!!”
Carrie Ann:  She goes over and sits in Carrie Ann’s lap and could really care less what any of the Judges say.  She’s having a blast!
Judges:  6-5-5 = 16  (PEOPLE:  how can you possibly let this fine broad who has done MANY movies with Harvey Korman, Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder go home too soon????  Remember:  Young Frankenstein????? Masterful!)
9.  Here comes ‘comedian’ Jeffrey Ross (who scratched his cornea during rehearsal and was told by the doctor not to dance but he’s goin for it anyway) who will be dancing with Edyta (gorgeous, leggy Edyta).  They will be dancing a Cha Cha.  Well Jeff must have listened to the doc afterall because he was just awful.  He will definitely be going home this week.  No movement, no emotions, no nuthin’
Carrie Ann:  Flirting was good; dancing bad.
Bruno:  Ungangly.  Then Jeff put his leg on the desk and Bruno screamed for him to get it off his desk!
Len:  Ya know folks, everyone’s a winner in this competition (oh he is sooo going home!).
Judges:  4-4-4 = 12  (I don’t think I’ve EVER seen scores this low).
10.  Next is ‘celebrity’ Kim Kardashian…of the big booty fame.  Her stepdad is Bruce Jenner.  Her dad helped defend OJ years ago and she is going with Reggie Bush…football sensation!  She will be dancing with Mark Ballas (last season’s winner) and they will be dancing a Foxtrot.  The music is from the Pink Panther and the outfits are great.  She’s not too bad.  Definitely can move around the dance floor.  Smooth and a good choice of song.
Len:  Clean but cold; no chemistry.
Bruno:  You look like Princess Jasmine but you’ve got to connect more.
Carrie Ann:  Keep your head still but, all in all, nice moves.
Judges:  6-7-6 = 19 (Tom thought Len’s vote was odd considering he said they have no chemistry????)
11.  Now we have Soap AMC Star:  Susan (Erica Kane) Lucci who will dance with Tony (LOVE Tony).  Now Susan has GOT to be in her mid 50s anyway and lord knows I’m routing for her because I use her dermabrassion kit and people say, I Have Lovely Skin…thank you Susan!).  OK, they will dance a Cha Cha.  She’s got a hot red outfit on but boy is she tiny/skinny.  AND stiff beyond belief.  I can’t believe it.  Of all the competitors, I think she disappointed me the most.  No rhythm.
Bruno:  A Cha Cha needs a ’slut type’ and you were too proper.
Carrie Ann:  Envious women out there are just looking at you in that gorgeous outfit.  You look a little frail though.
Len:  Neat and precise but you need to perform better.
Judges:  5-5-5 = 15
12.  Olympic Beachball Star: Misty Mae Traenor who will be dancing with, drum roll please, Maksim!!!!  He’s BACK from Vegas. OK girls, let’s all give a big sigh together!!!!  Can’t wait for the shirt to come off!
They will be dancing a Foxtrot and I have to just jump in for a minute to comment on the first meeting and rehearsals.  Maks is a riot.  Rolling the eyes and saying we’ve got a LOT of work to do here.  And commenting on how she’s got more muscles than him.  The dance is a little rough but we’ve got to keep her going for awhile so we can see Maks.  She’s a pretty girl and, if anyone can ‘tame her’, it will be him.
Carrie Ann:  You came out and attacked the dance.  Looked good.
Len:  Elegant, arms were good, not bad.
Bruno:  Turns weight in all the right places.  Be careful with the shoulders though.
Judges:  6-8-7 = 21
And, last but not least, we have.
13:  Football Star:  Warren Zapp who will be dancing with Kym Johnson.  He’s a Superbowl Champ with Tampa Bay.  They will be dancing a Cha Cha.  WOW, is her light on his feet or what???  Great job.  What a way to close the night and what a pleasant surprise.
Len:  You’re a great big bundle of joy – FUN
Carrie Ann:  So much fun.  Ends on a high note
Bruno:  You Big Boy you…can you dance!
Judges:  7-7-7 = 21
So there you have it for the first night of the new season.  Some ups and some downs.  Some surprises and some letdowns.  Let’s see what tomorrow night brings.

Fall TV Shows – New and Returning

September 4, 2008
Hi Everyone:
I thought I’d go thru the shows coming out this Fall (and returning).  There’s no way I can do them all so I just decided to write about the ones I thought you’d like, that I REALLY like and ones that look interesting!  Hope you agree.  By the way, I can’t give you dates on ALL of them but I tried.
Mondays
ABC, Dancing With The Stars 8 to 9:30 (9/22?)
ABC, Boston Legal, 10 to 11
CBS, CSI: Miami, 10 to 11 (you can watch this ON DEMAND)
NBC, My Own Worst Enemy, 10 to 11
(This stars Christian Slater playing 2 roles; one good and one bad.)
Tuesdays
FOX, House, 8 to 9
FOX, Fringe, 9 to 10 (can’t wait for this one!)
ABC, DWTS, 9 to 10
CBS, The Mentalist, 9 to 10 (this one stars hottie Simon Baker and it reminds me a lot of Psych…but not as a comedy!)
ABC, Eli Stone, 10 to 11 (love that it’s back!)
CBS, Without a Trace, 10 to 11  (tape one; watch the other!)
Wednesdays
FOX, Bones, 8 to 9
ABC, Private Practice, 9 to 10
CBS, Criminal Minds, 9 to 10 (missed this…once again, watch/tape!)
ABC, Dirty Sexy Money, 10 to 11 (this turned out to be a good show)
Thursdays
ABC, Ugly Betty, 8 to 9
ABC, Grey’s Anatomy, 9 to 10
NBC, 30 Rock, 9:30 to 10
FOX, Kitchen Nightmares, 9 to 10 (Grey’s/Kitchen – watch/tape!)
ABC, Life On Mars, 10 to 11 (now I’m confused with this show.  I watched all the episodes when it was on BBC America and enjoyed them very much.  I understand the new series will take place in NYC instead of England which makes sense.  BUT what does NOT make sense is all along I’ve read that Lenny Clarke is going to play Det. Gene Hunt (perfect fit) and now I read that Harvey Keitel is joining the cast.  If this, in any way, knocks Lenny outta the series, I’m gonna be really upset!!!)….Anyway, it’s in my Top 5 of the season…
CBS, Eleventh Hour, 10 to 11 (this series stars Rufus Sewell.  In the BBC America series, Patrick Stewart played the starring role.  It will be interesting to see if the USA will latch on to the ‘wayout’ type of stories)
(By the way, Jerry Bruckheimer exec. prod. so I ’smell’ hit!)
Fridays
At first I thought…I got nothin’!!  Then I looked again and saw this:
NBC, Crusoe, 8 to 9 (taken from the popular book….I’ve just started to see a few previews and it looks interesting.)
NBC, Life, 10 to 11 (soooo happy this show is returning)
Saturdays
ABC, Saturday Night Football
CBS, Crimetime, 8 to 10 (this is an encore of the network’s crime dramas from earlier in the week…)
NBC, Law and Order: SVU, 10 to 11
Sundays
ABC, Amazing Race, 8 to 9
NBC, Sunday Night Football, 8:30 to 12
ABC, Desperate Housewives, 9 to 10
CW, Easy Money, 9 to 10 (now I know it has to compete with Desperate, but it looks worth giving a peak…it’s the story of a family that gives out ‘high interest’ loans)
CBS, The Unit, 10 to 11 (can’t wait to see Dennis Haysbert in something over than insurance commercials!!!)
Let me try and do some of the Cable Shows:
HBO, Sunday, Sept. 7, TRUE BLOOD, 9 to 10 (this is Alan Ball’s new show.  He was so successful with 6ft. Under, when he read the books, he just had to do this.  It stars Anna Paquin and involves love stories with vampires…)
HBO, Sunday, Sept. 7, 11PM   THE LIFE AND TIMES OF TIM
(this is late nite, racy, animated comedy that could be a sleeper hit)
SCiFi  Friday, Oct. 3, 9 to 10  SANCTUARY (this show has a lot of ‘blue screen’ effect in it.  It follows a scientist and her protegee as they investigate mysterious otherworldly creatures living among us).
STARZ, Friday, Oct. 17, 10 to 11   CRASH (Dennis Hopper stars.  It is based on the 2004 movie which won BEST MOVIE OSCAR.  Could be good if it’s not too preachy!)
SHO, Sunday, Sept. 28, 9 to 10  DEXTER (finally returning and with Jimmy Smits too!!!)
TNT, this one could be a midseason replacement.  LEVERAGE
It stars Timothy Hutton and is the story of a group of professionals (in different fields) who get together and play “Robin Hood” for people in need…)
I know that’s only a small taste of what’s out there and I’m sure there are shows that you want to catch that I did not list (Gossip Girls?), but at least it’s a look into what the season is going to be like.
Now….where is JOURNEYMAN?????
Talk to you later,  Joanie
