I’m typing from home today so I can just imagine how many ‘typos’ I will make!
Sorry that I didn’t do a DWTS review this week. I’m just falling out of ‘love’ for the show. Don’t really care who wins now. Actually, I’ve started watching THE VOICE and I’m likiin it.
OK, let’s see. The Judges are are the table and Ryan is talking about tonight’s mentork, Cheryl Crow (oh boy…I hope shee doesn’t start pushing her own music…not a fan).
The Idols will sing 2 songs tonight; the first will be present day and the second will be one in the past.
First up this week is JAMES who will be singing, CLEAR TO THE EDGE by 30 seconds to Mars. = Heeard orf the band but not the song. As usual, James is terrifc, and right on the money. Still my #1 cfhoice to win the whole thing.
ST – Nice going…loved the way you’re working the audience.
JLo – We’re feeling it. It’s yours to take James.
Randy – This is definitely the type of record you should be making.
Next is Jacob who will sing, NO AIR made popular by Jordan Spks and Chris Brown. Jacob will be singing both parts which Himmy finds very risky. Well Jacob should have listened to Jimmy cause it’s not orking. He screeches; James sings….end of story. Jacob should be going home tomorrow night and I haven’t even heard the rest of the show.
JLo – You have showmanship (that ain’t gonna sell records JLo). Your voice is good now you have to zone in on the type of song you should be singing…don’t think this was it.
Randy- I differ with your opinion. You’re a good singer but you shouldm’t be singing duets. More Luther/church stuff.
ST – I’m ating you to find yorself. Love your voice.
Lauren is next and she is singing, I think, a Carrie Underwood song…what dfoes it matter…it’s another country song. Does she and Scotty think the whole USA is filled with ountry fans??? Apparently so. Don’t care for it, don’t care for the outfit; but I DO care for her hairdo.
Randy – this is the type of song you should be singing (do you notice how the Judges start to get repititious around this point in the competition? just wonderin). A,mazing.
ST – This is as good as it gets.
JLo – You ate that up. (JLo says that Lauren must have listened when the Judges talked tothem in the afternoon….hmmmm)
Scotty’s turn…gee, I wonder what he will be singing? HE’S GONE = Well the girls are hot anyway. He’s a little bit oo laid back for me. Constantine was like this but HE had talent. Sorry.
JLo – I loved it
Randy – I felt like I was at a Scotty concert! You are in it to win it (hmmmm, where have I heard that before?)
SR =We love you. You danced with the devil tonight and won! Good Job
Haley will end the first half of the show by singing, a Lady Gaga song that she only sings in concrt. Jimmy thought it would bee a great idea for her to do it so they called Gaga andshe said to go ffor it. - Well you know how sometimes best laid plans don’t go so well? This is one of them. Haley is brimming with talent but this song doesn’t compliment her voice. Too bad.
JLo – Love your sound but not the song.
Randy – Go Joss Stone instead of this.
ST – You put all your range into this song. You made it work. All you need is one perfect song to make you our IDOL. (now that’s nice)
SECOND ROUND
James is up first and he has chosen to sing, WITHOUT YOU by Nelson. This song is so beautiful but he’s having problems keeping his composure cause it reminds him of his family who he misses despeerately (we see them together and you can feel the love). Well he’s gott suck it up and give the perfomance of his life if he wants to move forward and, guess what people, he does just that. I thought it was emotional, note perfect and I’m just so in love with this kid. He wants it worse than any of the others and you can tell.
Randy – You are a truly great performeer. I could tell you were fighting bacvk your emotions.
S T – It was a little pitchy here and there but so what.
JLo – You didn’t just sing that song or do any wailing. You are a true artist….amaziing.
Jacob will sing LOVE HURTS for his second song and may I say that whenI first heard Jacob I was very impressed by how he hit the high notes…now they just irritate me. I just don’t see te talent that I did before. I honestly thing it is time for Jacob to ‘leave the building’.
ST – you kinds got lost in that song.
JLo – you brought out the tricks in the end.
Randy – Well I don’t think IDOL has ever heard such a high note before…it was like a Mariah note
Lauren is next and she will be singing UNCHAINED MELODY by the Righteous Brothers (her folks favorite song). Well she looks beautiful..love the dress. Not so crazy about her singing though.
JLo – Beautiful

ST - Love that song…could listen to you sing all night.
Scotty – is singing, YOU’RE ALWAYS ON MY MIND by Willie Nelson – OK, now this is a good choice and I think he does a good job too. Well done Scotty.
JLo – your 2 songs were great tonight
Randy -we call you the ‘young veteran’ so keep it up
SR – Excellent job
Now to end the evening we have Haley who is going to sing, RISING SON by The Animals – oh boy – I’m not so sure about this. WOW is she terrific. She had me fooled. Didn’t think she could sing this type of song but she is wonderful….good for you Haley….see you in the finals girlfriend!
Look…she got a Standing Ovation from the Judges as well as the audience….
Randy – Best performance of the night
ST – It was raspy as well as sweet and sour
JLo -That song has NEVER been sung that well until tonight.
OK people….it’s up to you….who is going home tomorrow night? My choice….JACOB. We will see. Didn’t hear who will be performing. We’ll find out together.
