American Idol Top 3 Results Show – 05/19/11

Hi Everyone:

Well last night was not a surprise when it comes to eliminiation when you think about it.  It’s been that way with all of the Top 12.  So let’s start the show.

Here come the 3 Judges and Ryan.  JLo, once again, is absolutely gorgeous.  She has a short sparkling skirt and very pretty top and her hair is pulled back tonight.

Ryan tells us that last night there were 95M votes cast…the most EVER for the season.  (still doesn’t mean America got it right!)

Tonight we are going to take the usual hometown visits for the top 3 finalists.  Nicole S., 50 cent and Il Volo will be performing.

Let’s bring out the Top 3.  They look very relaxed but, then again,, the votes have been cast so they’ve done their part.  Lauren has white cowboy boots on….OK.

Now it’s time for the Ford music video.

Ryan introduces our first guest performers – IL VOLO – well, let me tell you, I was so impressed with their voices and can’t believe how young they are.  I wonder if they are related to IL DIVO?  Great surprise and I hope their CD does well here in the USA.

I think I took Haley’s hometown visit out of sequence but it was fun.  It was raining but that didn’t stop the crowds from coming out for Haley.  You should see her Security Guard…he is HUGE and was pretending to be crying.  All in all, it was a great visit and her conceert that night was great.  She did a song with her Dad (and I think her mom was there too) that was just awesome.

Anyway, let’s jump to Scotty’s homeetown visit to Garner, NC.  (nice house that he lives in too).  There are like 50K people in town and they collected $62K to give Scotty a great homecoming.  He was so moved by it.  I’m not a huge Scotty fan but I could feel how grateful he was to everyone who shoued him how much they loved him.  He couldn’t tell everyone enough how much he appreciated their love.  In fact, while he was singing his ‘signature’ song, “Turn Off The Lights”, who walks on the stage but Josh Turner who made it famous.  Scotty was schocked!

When we went to a commercial, Fox news showed us TAYLOR HICKS who is in the Boston area for the weekend, playing his harmonica!  I guess he’s always touring now.

Nicole & 50 cent performed her latest music video….not impressed.  She’s starting to show her aga although the body is still in great shape.

Let’s go to Lauren’s hometown (which is wicked small) betwen the Georgia and Tennessee borders. (Ryan comes from Georgia) Anyway it was a greeat time had by all and theh they toured the destruction by tornadoes recently and it was so sad.

OK, here we go…let’s Dim The Lights – and Have the Results

After 95M votes were cast, the first finalist who will be going ahead next week to the Final Show is……SCOTTY  (no big surprise)

Now we have Lauren and Haley.  I didn’t think I would see two girls left but here we are…..who will be in the Final Show?  Will it be Lauren or Haley?

The next person joining Scotty for next week’s (huge drawn out) final show next week is:

LAUREN

which means that Haley is going home tonight.  Oh well.  Haley is so cool.  She took it well.  Loved the flashback from her auditions on.  In fact, we saw all 3 from auditions on this season.

She thanks everyone, takes the mic, and belts out a great song which takes her off the stage, over to where the other finalists are sitting. shaking the Judges’ s hands and then hugging her dad.  The girl has so much talent…AND….she’s only 16.    She’s ready for stardom.  Can’t wait to see her and Casey together on tour.

So next week we go to the Kodak theatre and drag out the show over two nights..Tuesday and Wednesday…2 hours each night…and then we will hear them both sing a (probably) crappy song that someone wrote for the show and at 9:58 on Wednesday night, we will find out that SCOTTY will be the winnter!  Wait and see.
